The increased popularity of home brewing in the US has led to a plethora of shops both offline and online where you can purchase home brewing supplies.  While many people in or close to major metropolitan areas have access to physical stores which is nice especially to socialize with other beer enthusiasts, there is an almost endless number of options available online.  I am a big fan of ecommerce (online stores) for most of the things in my life as my time is of the essence and I appreciate the convenience as well.  If you are a lucky home brewer who can enjoy both a local store and online options consider yourself blessed.  I’m sure we could discuss the pros and cons of both all day but that’s not the point.
Brewing your own beverages at home is a wonderful and rewarding hobby that I want to help encourage you to pursue.  Just because you do not have a local store do not give up so easily, a simple internet search for “home brew supplies” brings up about 1 million websites which reference that term.  You can find everything you need and have it delivered right to your home, does it get any easier?  Concerned that you have questions or are not sure what to buy, don’t worry most online stores have FAQ sections, how to articles and special areas for beginners.  To ease your search I will list recommended resources and partners in our resource section on the side of this blog.  To your successful brewing!

Cheers,
Tony

The Coopers Brewery Micro Brewing Kit gets very high ratings at Amazon.com. Out of 49 reviews, 43 people have given the kit 5 stars and 6 have given it 4 stars.  Most people who reviewed the kit were pleased that the kit came with all necessary home brewing supplies included, unlike other kits they may have tried.  All of the essential equipment is included for a reasonable price that makes potential home brewers feel that they are getting a good deal, and not investing heavily in something that they may not enjoy once they have tried it. Most people who reviewed this product were first time brewers, and many said that the instructional video was easy to follow as well as entertaining.  Reviewers were pleased at the quantity of beer the kits makes: 6 gallons of beer.  Cooper’s customer service is also well thought of, and the website is considered user friendly.  Of all the reviews there is one drawback that is mentioned multiple times, and that is that the lid of the fermenter is difficult to remove.  The necessity of having a tight seal during fermentation is the reason for the difficulty in removing, but in all honesty this is a minor issue.  Overall, the kit is lauded as one of the best kits out there for beginning home brewers because of its ease of use and the fact that it contains everything the beginner needs to get started.

Easy to use, tasty beer, all the brew supplies you need!

Enjoy the results,

Tony
